Even the thought of making arrangements for our loved one was unforgettably painful and we were so nervous before we made it to Holt and Holt Funeral Home and met with William. We were automatically greeted warmly and felt a sense of comfort from the very beginning. By the end of our journey with them, he and his family felt like a part of our own. He treated our Veteran family member with the utmost respect and gracefully helped us every step of the way, not only with the choosing of our preferred casket and services but with our grief as well, providing emotional support. He is a very fair, kind, and gentle human being. They stayed in constant communication with us, listened and heard our stories and memories we couldn't help but share. Everything from start to finish was quick and painless (as painless as the situation could be). My family and I highly recommend their business during your hardest time of need.. feel at home with Holt and Holt.

There's so much to say and so many thanks to give to Vaughan's that no review I write here will do justice.
William and his team saw us through every step of the process with attentiveness, and a sympathy to match the depth of emotion our family felt. While I know they must have been very busy behind the scenes, nothing felt done in haste.
The pacing of information and instruction given to see us through each step of this endeavor was conscious and thoughtful - the only thing we were overwhelmed by was emotion, and their team greatly helped to mitigate that as well.
To achieve so much in such a short amount of time, and to still show so much grace and compassion in every interaction truly shows the amount of care that this home has for each family they serve.
This home is sincere in what they do, and I truly feel we made friends along the way. Be assured, Vaughan's will take care of you and yours.

The Holt family (new owners of Vaughn’s Funeral Home) are by far some of the most caring, compassionate and PATIENT individuals I have dealt with. My brother passed recently and it felt like the Holts were part of our family. I felt so at ease knowing they were behind the scenes taking care of the little details. They took a terrible,heartbreaking situation and made it bearable. God’s blessings on the Holt family as well as Vaughn’s Funeral home. In the unfortunate event that we will need them again, they will be our provider of choice.

My father passed away this summer after a battle with cancer. My parents moved from Leon Springs to Comfort in the middle of his illness. When he came home on hospice, we finally started looking into funeral homes nearby and settled on Vaughan's based on word-of-mouth reviews from friends in Boerne. When the time came (which was in the middle of the night), they were prompt and compassionate with transportation. They helped us make decisions regarding the service in a respectful manner, without being pushy or cost-oriented (we had read reviews of other places where this was a concern). They were communicative, helpful, and supportive throughout an otherwise devastating ordeal. In addition, they held a sweet memorial service this month to honor all those who have passed this year, which my mother was able to attend. This is a small, family-owned business that is run by very caring, thorough people. We could not have chosen a better place to honor my dad.
